Help the vanilla growers we work with, one small step at a time
The vanilla we sell comes from a community of smallholder families on Madagascar's coast, many of whom have grown and cured vanilla for generations. We are raising small amounts to give them better tools, healthier soils and better drying equipment. Every gift counts, even $1.
Three simple, practical things
1. Healthier soils, naturally. Community compost areas, green manure and cover plants between the rows, mulch, and shade trees for the vanilla vines. No chemical fertilizers: our growers' vanilla stays natural and organic.
2. Farm tools. Pruning shears, pollination tools, ladders and harvest baskets, plus simple training on pollination and harvesting at full maturity.
3. Better drying and curing. Drying racks, curing boxes, scales and moisture meters. Better curing means better vanilla, and a better price for the families who grow it.
Small, transparent, step by step
This is not a big project. We buy the equipment as gifts come in, starting with what helps the most families, and we share photos of what was bought and where it went.
Sustainable Concepts SARL is a licensed vanilla exporter based in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Gifts go to equipment and training for the growers, not to our trading business.
